Biography

Tomislav Tomašković

Tomislav Tomašković was born in 1983 in Varaždin, Croatia. He began his musical education at the Varaždin Music School under the guidance of Professor Moreno Vinceković, where he completed both elementary and secondary studies as the top student of his generation. During his education, he achieved notable results at national competitions and became a finalist in the multi-instrumental competition organized by the Lions Club Rijeka, as the only guitarist among the finalists. He has performed as a soloist, in chamber ensembles, and with the Varaždin Chamber Orchestra.

He continued his studies at the Music Academy in Zagreb in the class of Professor István Römer. He further refined his artistry through masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Pavel Steidl, Zoran Dukić, Carlo Marchione, Denis Azabagić, Hopkinson Smith, and Valter Dešpalj. He has given a well-received solo recital at the Matica hrvatska concert hall in Zagreb.

Tomašković currently teaches guitar and chamber music at the Varaždin Music School, where his students have won numerous awards at national and international competitions.
